Terms of Service for Our Future For Success Corp.

Effective Date: September 17, 2025

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Our Future For Success™ application (the "App") operated by Our Future For Success Corp. ("we," "us," or "our"). The App is a fundraising platform where profiles of individuals experiencing homelessness or immediate housing insecurity, including those at immediate risk of losing their housing, are created by Our Future For Success Corp. staff, using information compiled and provided by trusted intake partners — such as shelters, outreach programs, and social service agencies. Individuals featured on the App do not self-register or manage their own profiles. These Terms apply to supporters, donors, intake partners, and anyone else visiting or using the App. By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. User Eligibility

The App is intended for use by supporters, donors, and visitors who are 18 years of age or older. Individuals featured on the App are not expected to self-register or use the App directly — their profiles are created by Our Future For Success Corp. staff using information compiled by intake partners. By using the App, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

2. User Accounts and Authentication

Access to certain features (such as tracking gifts) requires authentication via Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and agree not to share it with others. Your Google account credentials are never stored by us; authentication is handled securely through Google's services.

3. Profile Creation and Content

  1. All profiles are created on the App by Our Future For Success Corp. staff, based on information compiled and provided by trusted intake partners (shelters, outreach programs, social service agencies). Intake partners are responsible for gathering accurate information and for obtaining proper informed consent from each individual before providing that information to Our Future For Success Corp.
  2. Our Future For Success Corp. reserves the right to verify, edit, decline, or remove any profile or content at its sole discretion.
  3. Photos and personal stories must respect the dignity, privacy, and rights of the individuals featured. Photographs of individuals under 18 will have identifying features obscured.
  4. Our Future For Success Corp. is not liable for inaccuracies in information provided by intake partners, but will act promptly to correct or remove content upon notification.
  5. Circumstances described in a profile, including an individual's housing situation, are self-reported by the individual and relayed through the intake partner. Supporting documentation is not required by default, and Our Future For Success Corp. does not independently verify the circumstances described. Review of a profile does not constitute independent verification of the individual's circumstances, housing status, or need.

4. Payment Processing and Fund Distribution

  1. All monetary gifts made through the platform are securely processed by Square, our third-party payment processor. Our Future For Success Corp. does not store or handle donors' payment card information directly.
  2. Our Future For Success Corp. receives the full gift amount from Square after payment processing fees. We then deduct our platform service fees (currently 15%, plus an additional 5% for featured profiles). The platform fee is revenue to the company and is subject to normal business taxes. It is not a tax collected on behalf of the gift sender.
  3. The remaining net proceeds are transferred by Our Future For Success Corp. to authorized outreach programs, shelters, or support organizations, who then distribute the funds to the intended recipients. Our Future For Success Corp. also transfers its earned platform fees into its own corporate bank account.
  4. Gifts are irrevocable once processed.
  5. Our Future For Success Corp. complies with the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA), as administered by FINTRAC, for all financial transactions.

4a. Tax Information

  • This platform is not currently a registered charity.
  • Gifts made here are personal contributions and do not qualify for charitable tax credits at this time.
  • We are working toward applying for registered charity status with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). If and when we receive approval, we plan to offer official charitable tax receipts for eligible gifts of $50 CAD and above. We will clearly announce when this becomes available.
  • The platform fee is revenue to the company and is subject to normal business taxes. It is not a tax collected on behalf of the donor.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  1. Use the App for fraudulent, illegal, or harmful purposes.
  2. Harass, defame, or impersonate others.
  3. Interfere with the App's functionality or security.
  4. Collect data without consent.

6. Intellectual Property

The App and its content are owned by Our Future For Success Corp. or licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access at any time for violations. Upon termination, your obligations under these Terms survive.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Disputes shall be resolved in Ontario courts.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
