1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve the App's services. The types of information we collect include:

1. Personal Information for Profiles: Profiles are created on the App by Our Future For Success Corp. staff, using information compiled and provided by trusted intake partners (shelters, outreach programs, social service agencies). Information collected includes full name, age, birthday (optional), biography, life story, fundraising goal, photo, health insurance opt-in details, and fund usage plans. Intake partners are required to confirm that proper informed consent has been obtained from each individual before providing their information to Our Future For Success Corp.
2. Donor Information: For supporters making gifts, we collect donor name, email, gift amount, and optional anonymous status. We do not collect sensitive financial details directly, as payments are processed through our designated payment gateway.
3. Authentication Data: Via Google OAuth, we collect full name, email, and assign roles (user/admin). Authentication is handled securely through Google's authentication service.
4. Geolocation Data: When accessing profiles via QR codes or links, we may collect latitude, longitude, approximate address, city, and country, subject to user permission on their device.
5. Usage Data: We collect analytics on profile views, scans, gift history, and achievements.
6. Administrative Data: For admins, we collect data related to bulk uploads and scan analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

1. To facilitate profile creation, gift processing, and fund disbursement.
2. To display profiles, track progress, and provide transparency on fund usage.
3. To send notifications, updates, and achievement badges.
4. To analyze usage patterns and improve the App.
5. To comply with legal obligations, including anti-money laundering and terrorist financing laws under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA), administered by FINTRAC.

All monetary gifts are securely processed by Square, our third-party payment processor. We do not store or handle donors' payment card information directly. Our Future For Success Corp. receives the full gift amount from Square after payment processing fees, then deducts our platform service fees (15%, plus an additional 5% for featured profiles). The remaining net proceeds are transferred by Our Future For Success Corp. to authorized outreach programs, shelters, or support organizations, who then distribute the funds to the intended recipients. Our Future For Success Corp. also transfers its earned platform fees into its own corporate bank account.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may share information as follows:

1. With intake partners: To coordinate profile accuracy, consent verification, and fund disbursement.
2. With service providers: For payment processing, hosting, and analytics, under strict confidentiality.
3. For legal compliance: To authorities if required by law, including FINTRAC reporting.
4. In business transfers: If Our Future For Success Corp. is involved in a merger or acquisition.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect all information, including encryption and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Individuals whose information appears in a profile, or their legal guardian or authorized advocate, may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their information. Donors can view their gift history through the App. We retain data as necessary for legal and operational purposes. Requests can be sent to ourfuture@forsuccess.ca.

6. Minors' Privacy and Age Restrictions

Because profiles are submitted by intake partners on behalf of individuals — not self-created — the age restrictions below apply to who may be featured in a profile on the platform.

Profiles are generally only created for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. In limited cases, profiles may be created for individuals between the ages of 14 and 17, but only with the verifiable, documented consent of a parent, legal guardian, or authorized social service worker obtained by the intake partner prior to submission.

We do not knowingly publish profiles of individuals under the age of 14. If we discover that a profile has been submitted for someone under 14, we will immediately remove the profile and all associated personal information.

For individuals aged 14–17 whose profiles are submitted:

• The intake partner must obtain and retain documented consent from a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult from a recognized shelter, outreach organization, or social service agency before submitting the profile.
• We reserve the right to request proof of consent before publishing any profile or processing gifts on behalf of a minor.
• All photographs of individuals under 18 will have their faces blurred or otherwise obscured to protect their identity and privacy.
• We reserve the right to refuse or remove any profile that does not comply with this policy.

7. Intake Partners and Consent

All profiles on the App are created by Our Future For Success Corp. staff using information compiled and provided by trusted intake partners — including shelters, outreach programs, and social service agencies — who work directly with individuals experiencing homelessness.

We require all intake partners to confirm that they have obtained proper, informed consent from each individual before providing their personal information to Our Future For Success Corp. for profile creation. By providing information for a profile, intake partners represent and warrant that:

• The individual has been clearly informed about what information will be shared and how it will be used on the platform.
• Consent was obtained freely, without coercion, and with full understanding of its purpose.
• For individuals aged 14–17, additional consent has been obtained from a parent, legal guardian, or authorized responsible adult.
• Documentation of consent is retained by the intake partner and available upon request.

Our Future For Success Corp. reserves the right to audit intake partner consent practices and to remove any profile where proper consent cannot be confirmed.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on the App, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
